Michael Bentine’s Potty Time
Michael Bentine’s Potty Time is a 70’s Children’s TV show,
a strange programme starring Michael Bentine.
Michael Bentine was one of the members of the 'Goons',
which also included Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan and Harry
Secombe. The Goons were a group of comedians that had
their own Radio and TV shows.
After this success he tried his hand at a Children's Show
and came up with Potty Time. It was a strange show made
up of very short people, called Potties. You never saw their
feet and most of the male potties had big bushy beards that
covered most of their faces. In between the mayhem of the
story being told was Michael who would talk to the potties
and find out
more details of
the story.
Michael did all of the voices of the Potties and one of
the most loved Potties was the Invisible Potty. The
only way to see this potty was to look at the floor and
see his footprints on the ground.
