Star Fleet
Story (...continued) (back to main page)
Lamia returns to her room on X-Bomber and drifts off and
dreams of Captain Halle, but quickly realises that she is
actually speaking to him telepathically. Kirara is alarmed
about this development and presses the alert button, which
Shiro replies to. Lamia explains what happened, but he just
things she is in shock because of recent events and that
she is imagining it. Dr Benn on the contrary takes this
development seriously and together with Lamia work out
that her powers have started to manifest themselves.
Lamia's telepathy kicks in again and she alerts the crew
that there is an Imperial Cruiser ahead of them. Hercules
can't believe it when the rest of the crew take this warning
seriously and storms off saying that he is quitting Star Fleet,
but minutes later he is proven wrong and X-Bomber takes
heavy damage. The oxygen unit on the ship is damaged and suddenly the crew find they cannot
breathe.
PPA tries to switch over to auxiliary systems, but that is damaged too. A desperate PPA tries to fix
it with the help of Hercules, but still they cannot fix it and Hercules collapses with lack of oxygen
and passes out. The only person not affected is Lamia and in desperation she contacts Halle
telepathically, who directs her to a planet that can sustain life, with the Alliance hot on their heals.
Makara closes in on X-Bomber and again tries to get
Lamia to give herself up and nearly succeeds. Luckily
PPA persuades her not to surrender. Dr Benn regains
consciousness and tells Lamia that the Alliance would
gain full control of the solar system if they harness her
power. These words seem to have touched Lamia and
she decides to fight against the Imperial Alliance, and
mans the laser guns with the help of Kirara. Makara is
furious with this defiance and sends in a ground
assault to board X-Bomber and capture F01.
Eventually some of her troops reach X-Bomber and cut
a hole in the hull of the ship and board it.
PPA eventually wakes the rest of the crew who try to come to the rescue of Lamia. Kirara and PPA
are shot by soldiers and Lamia is kidnapped by them and taken back to Makara's ship. Dr Benn
says X-Bomber must be repaired before they even think about trying to rescue Lamia. Makara is
triumphant and heads back to the Thalian Zone and as a matter of precaution leaves a minefield
as a present for X-Bomber.
Halle contacts X-Bomber and asks Dr Benn if they can rendezvous with X-Bomber and discuss
Lamia. He agrees and the Skull arrives. Halle tells them all the history of F01. Lamia was born a
princess and was destined to become the Queen of the Planet Espa, who's residents have special
powers. Lamia was prophesised as having a great power which will manifest itself at the
beginning if the year 3000, a power that could dominate the universe. The Imperial Alliance learnt
of this prophecy and attacked the planet, as they wanted to harness her power. Luckily the
princess was smuggled out from the planet and was left on the planet Mars for the people of Earth
to discover her and bring her up in safety. Which is exactly what Professor Hagen did.
Halle also tells X-Bomber that he and his friends cannot help them in their quest to rescue Lamia.
He cannot expose his friends to the ferocity of the Imperial Alliance, also that he is destined to
become one with Lamia and cannot take the risk of being killed before the year 3000, as he must
show her how to use her powers. Lamia is destined to be the guardian of peace for the universe.
Shiro doesn't believe him and thinks its an excuse not to put himself and his friends in danger, but
Dr Benn believes him and asks him to contact Lamia telepathically and find out where she is.
Halle contacts Lamia, but her guards observe her speaking to him and Makara orders her to be
taken to the disimalator, where she will be taught her a lesson if she talks to Halle again. Shiro
doesn't trust Halle, but Lee thinks he's jealous of Halle's impending marriage to Lamia.
X-Bomber takes off in pursuit of the Battle Cruiser on their own, but are damaged when trying to
navigate through the minefield left by the Imperial Battle Cruiser and have to land to make repairs.
Meanwhile Makara takes Lamia to the Allurian Prison, a prison that no one leaves from, which is
based on an inhospitable ice planet. The prison is situated underground and once inside Lamia is
clamped into an electromagnetic capsule to suppress her powers and sub zero gas is pumped
into it to freeze her, a fate worse than death, as she will feel no pain or pleasure.
Makara explains to Lamia that she has the power to control the Universe and in two Earth months
that she will have the power to defeat the Imperial Alliance. She regrets that they didn't capture
her when she was a baby as they could have used her powers. Instead they are imprisoning her,
while they investigate ways to harness her power. Makara leaves the prison with Lamia slowing
freezing inside her capsule. Makara is triumphant and her symbiont contacts the Imperial Master
to inform him of their success. He is overjoyed and recalls the Battle Cruiser to his base for
celebrations.
Meanwhile X-Bomber completes repairs and take off in search of Lamia, but Halle tells them he's
been in contact with a scared and weak Lamia, who he's trying to get directions to the prison from.
So X-Bomber wait for directions. With every last effort from Lamia, she tells Halle the location of
the prison and X-Bomber is on its way, to the Alurian Star cluster on the Glasieral Planet.
But Makara detects that X-Bomber is heading for Lamia and changes course to intercept them. X-
Bomber detect this and readies themselves for battle and launches the 3 Dai-X ships. But they are
caught between Makara and the ice planet's defences which have just kicked it. The Dai-X ships
combine into Big Dai-X (the robot), who goes on another clobbering mission. Kapow!! It destroys
the planet defences and the crew find the entrance to the prison. Inside the prison they find Lamia
and have to shoot the clamps off Lamia to free her, who collapses in Shiro's arms and they
escape back to X-Bomber.
Makara cannot believe what has happened, so as a
final measure she calls on Kaliban (he has silver skin),
who is an inventor. He has created a new bionic
weapon to assassinate F01. Orion is shocked that
Makara would go against the Imperial Master's orders,
who wants F01 captured, not killed.
X-Bomber detects an unidentified ship and Dr Benn
orders the 3 pilots to investigate. Once aboard the ship,
they find nothing, but it seems that the assassin has
stowed himself aboard one of their ships, which returns
to X-Bomber. Its at this moment that a heavily armed
planetoid starts attacking X-Bomber. It is a weapon sent by Makara to distract them while the assassin works his way towards F01. Kirara tries to
protect Lamia, who presses the red alert button, and Dr Benn rushes to her aid and shoot the assassin down. But Dr Benn is hurt, the assassin
scratched him. The others don't realise that he's been poisoned and Dr Benn starts to drift away from life. He dies asking that they continue on their
mission! The crew are shocked by this loss, but are determined to continue and to bring peace to the universe.
X-Bomber lands on the planet Kolinea where they are greeted by Captain Halle, who is informed of their bad news. They ask if Dr Benn could be
buried on the planet, which they agree to. They find out that the planet has renounced war, but discover that they have a huge weapon in one of their
bases. It is at this point that Shiro is introduced to the person who made it, his father - Professor Hagan. It seems that after completing X-Bomber the
Professor had time on his hands, so he wanted to discover the history of Lamia. During this time his spacecraft was damaged and Halle rescued him
and brought him to the planet. Here he built the weapon to defend the planet and its people (in secret against their wishes).
Shiro wants to know why they had to bring Lamia half way across the universe at such cost. Its at this moment that he decides he wants to go on the
offensive against the Imperial Alliance and attack their home planet. So Halle, Professor Hagen and the crew of X-Bomber try to come up with a plan
on how to attack the Imperial Alliance.
In the mean time, Kaliban has created a new weapon (it's his last chance), the Death Ball. The Alliance
begin to attack the planet Kolinea and X-Bomber retaliates against them. But during the battle the Death
Ball is dropped off onto the planet and Makara tries to lure X-Bomber away from the planet. A huge battle
ensues between them and the Skull goes to help them.
But Lamia is in trouble, as the Death Ball is causing massive damage to the cities. Big Dai-X is sent back to
the planet, while Professor Hagan and PPA continue to use X-Bomber against the Imperial Battle Cruiser.
Big Dai-X goes 1 on 1 with the Death Ball, who electrocutes the robot. Big Dai-X tries to throw everything at
the Death Ball, but nothing seems to stop it. The Death Ball even fires shackles at Dai-X and starts
electrocuting it.
The peaceful people of the planet have decided that they have no choice but to use Professor Hagan's
weapon to help X-Bomber, otherwise their dream of peace for the whole Universe won't come true. Its at this point that Big Dai-X activates its defence
shield and fires X Tracers at the Death Ball, which destroys it. The Imperial Alliance have been defeated again and Makara retreats.
The Imperial Master contacts Makara and strips her and Orion of their commands. He now intends on attacking Earth himself by flying his Fortress
Planet to Earth, but Makara still thinks she can redeem herself by destroying F01. Halle's men intercept the Imperial Master's communication and
Lamia informs the X-Bomber crew. Shiro works out that X-Bomber couldn't catch up with the Imperial Master before he got to Earth. Professor Hagan
suggests they override the computer safety factor and manually travel at twice hyper speed, which is very dangerous. They all vote to try it. Lamia
asks to stay onboard X-Bomber, which everyone agrees to (it seems she can't bear to be without Shiro), and the Skull will accompany X-Bomber. The
computer is turned off and they begin to travel at twice hyper speed towards Earth.
It seems that during the last battle with X-Bomber that Orion was seriously injured and is dying. He asks to be taken to his drone craft to prove his
worth to Makara (who thinks he is a coward), and to die honourably. Orion contacts X-Bomber and challenges them and starts attacking them. But X-
Bomber can't slow down and finish him off as the Earth is in danger. Hercules damages Orion's ship, who then sets it on a collision course for X-
Bomber and crashes into it, killing himself and badly damaging X-Bomber. Luckily they can still maintain hyper speed.
During repairs to X-Bomber, Makara's ship, using their new laser shield to defend themselves, attacks, But X-Bomber doesn't have X-Impulse
working, so they have no option but to use Big Dia X on the Battle Cruiser and try to smash through its shield, a suicide mission! But it actually works,
and Big Dai-X breaks through the shield, where it starts destroying the ship from the inside and kills everyone onboard, including Makara. The
Imperial Master knows nothing of this, but is gratified when his commanders say that they will reach Earth 2 days before the millennium and way
ahead of X-Bomber.
Back on X-Bomber, Lamia's is going through pain as they hurtle towards Earth, as her powers continue to grow. She even contacts the Imperial
Master, via telepathy, and orders him to stop his advance on Earth. He is furious that she has the audacity to speak to him and dismisses her.
Meanwhile X-Bomber is gaining on the Imperial Master, who has decided that he has no choice and that Lamia must die. He launches wave after
wave of heat seeking missiles against X-Bomber. Luckily X-Bomber and the Skull, they shoot them all down.
It is then that the Imperial Master gives the order to lay down the Electric Solar Energy Net to trap X-Bomber. They fly straight into it, which disrupts
their electric systems and PPA. X-Bomber has lost control!
The Imperial Master arrives at Earth, where he stops all their computers working and taunts them, saying that he comes to them as their saviour and
to surrender or be destroyed. General Kyle refuses to surrender and Earth Defence Force launch an all out strike against him, but the Imperial Master
fires missiles at Earth, pummelling it.
Back on X-Bomber, they have realised the only way to break free from the net is to come out of twice hyper speed and switch on their computer. Once
they achieve this, X-Bomber initiates their main shield which allows them to break free of it. X-Bomber arrives at Earth just in time. The Imperial
Master asks X-Bomber to execute Lamia to save Earth. Lamia offers her life for the people of Earth, but everyone refuses. Lamia joins Halle onboard
the Skull, and X-Bomber and the Skull co-ordinate their attack on the Imperial Master's Planet. X-Bomber launches Big Dai-X against it, while the
Skull attacks the planet from behind.
Imperial fighters break off their attack on Earth and centre their attention to the two ships attacking the
Imperial Master's Planet. Kirara mans a laser gun on the flight deck of the Skull, but is shot dead by a
passing fighter and he drifts off into space. The Skull takes a pounding, but Big Dai-X comes to their
rescue. It heads straight for the Imperial Master's Planet, which is huge compared to Big Dai-X. The
Imperial Master uses his last weapon of defence against them, the Delta Laser, which knocks out Big Dai-X
and its crew and the robot drifts lifeless in space.
The Imperial Master thinks that he has won and has destroyed Lamia and that the prophecy didn't come
true. But all the solar planets align, the year 3000AD has arrived. Halle merges with Lamia and a huge
bright light appears, confusing the Imperial Master. Lamia appears before him and asks him to leave, but
he ignores her and continues towards Earth to destroy it.
She warns him multiple times and warns him that she cannot be killed, and they lock together in battle. F01 has no choice and destroys the Imperial
Master and his planet. Lamia informs X-Bomber that she cannot stay on Earth and must help maintain the peace in the universe. She says goodbye
to everyone before she disappears. They will all miss her.
Big Dai-X and X-Bomber return to Earth as heroes and a new Millennium of peace begins.
